At Affordable Archives we take great pride in the work we do and strive to serve our clients in the best way possible.  Please be aware of the following company policies...

Damaged Media

Affordable Archives is not responsible for damage to your tapes, photos, etc.  Our equipment is maintained in good working order, however due to the fragile nature of aged photographs, video and audio tape and wear and tear of capture equipment, potential damage is a risk we take in archiving these memories.  Affordable Archives will make the client aware of damage when it occurs and will attempt to fix the damage but no guarantees are expressed or implied.

Privacy

All material submitted to Affordable Archives is kept in strict confidence.  Occasionally we may ask for clients permission to use some of their material in our promotions.

File Retention

Affordable Archives will save the clients files for a minimum of 30 days from the project delivery date.  These include the files for DVD authoring and final delivery .mp4 files.

Communications

We will keep you updated on the progress of your project.  If you do not want to receive progress updates, please let us know.

Rewind

At Affordable Archives, we will of course rewind your tapes before we begin the conversion process.  Unless otherwise directed, we will not rewind your tapes after we have digitized them.  This saves us time as well as wear and tear on our machines which helps keep costs down.
